It is very important to consider that for safety reasons, access to the race route will be restricted and closed completely to all the public vehicles and their passengers.

SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 29th, 2013
09:00 hrs. Group trek to the viewpoint of Las Torres, Torres del Paine*
* The trek to the viewpoint of the Torres del Paine is a recreational activity. Participation is free and everyone is responsible for their own needs. The idea is simply to share the experience of walking in the mountains, enjoying the landscape and communal environment of the group. The ultimate goal is to take a group picture with Torres del Paine in the background. To access the viewpoint, technical equipment is not required, you can come up with trekking shoes or your running shoes, it is advisable to carry a small backpack to carry some food and warm clothing, including hat and gloves. You should also consider sunglasses and sunscreen, if you have trekking poles, these can be helpful.
The group hike begins at 09:00 am from the Hotel Las Torres. In total the hike will be 6-7 hours, so we will return to the starting point approximately 15:00 and 16:00 hrs. Each participant must have their personal belongings with food and water, etc. If you are not staying near the starting point, you will need to coordinate your own transportation from your hotel/hostel/camp to the Hotel Las Torres. For those who are staying in Puerto Natales, you can take a bus into the park with roundtrip transport back to Puerto Natales. If you are staying in other places within the many alternatives offered in the area, you should check with your hotel to find out what the transportation options are.
