Ninth Edition: Saturday, 11 September, 2021

Torres del Paine National Park, Patagonia, Chile

The ninth edition of Patagonian International Marathon® will take place on Saturday, 11 September, 2021. This year, the event returns to its original routes inside of Torres del Paine National Park, utilizing its vehicular gravel routes, which are characterized by various curves and steep slopes. The race distances are 42K, 21K and 10K. The entire route presents you with breathtaking scenery, with the best views towards the principal mountains of the park. The finish line for all race distances will be located at Portería Laguna Amarga. The official awards ceremony will be in Puerto Natales, the base city of operations for the event.

PUERTO NATALES is the base city for Patagonian International Marathon®. In the days leading up the race, the city will serve as the location for kit pick-up and the center for all event information. In addition, the official buses will depart to the Starting Lines from this city and then return again to the same location from the Finish Line. It is very important to consider that only the finisher medal will be awarded upon crossing the Finish Line, as all other awards will take place in Puerto Natales after the event has ended!

Given that we are still months away from the event, the protocols and measures associated with COVID-19 will be informed at a later date, once we begin to approach race day and have a more accurate projection of the conditions for September. With that being said, given that the vaccination process continues progressing forward here in Chile, we expect there to be minimal restrictions by the month of the event.

Before registering in Patagonian International Marathon®, it is your responsibility to review the general rules and regulations, in addition to the map and race profile. Also, we invite you to check out the photo galleries from previous editions in order to have a better idea for choosing your race distance, selecting your clothing and planning your trip.
